About
Hello! My name is Ms. Jordan Gee and I will be your child's Kindergarten teacher this year!
I have always wanted to become a teacher. More specifically a kindergarten teacher! I was born and raised here in Tucson. I attended Gale Elementary for K-5, Gridley Middle school for 6-8, and Sahuaro High school for 9-12. I attended the University of Arizona and received my Bachelor of Arts in Elementary Education in December of 2017. I completed my student teaching at Gale Elementary in first grade. In February of 2018 I took on a 1st grade class at Steele elementary. The following year I completed my first full year of teaching in kindergarten at Steele. Now I am so excited to begin my fifth year at Kellond! This will be my fourth year doing pre- GATE.
In my five and a half of years of teaching I have learned so much. I had the pleasure of working with TUSD's Behavior specialist team to better my skills with extreme behaviors and how to manage them and keep the flow of my classroom. I have my provisional GATE certificate and have done some other trainings in behavior and leadership. I collaborated with numerous people around my school and district and learned from some of the most experienced and passionate teachers.
In my free time I enjoy traveling, watching musicals, and most of all cuddling my poodle-mix named Dempsey and dachshund-mix named Archie. I love trying new recipes (especially new cookies) and listening to almost all genres of music. Post Malone and the Jonas Brothers are a few of my favorites. If I am not at home cooking or binge watching Netflix shows, there is a high chance I'm at Target, Trader Joe's, Costco, or Home Goods. It is rare not to find me singing, dancing, or laughing. I like sparkly things, Kate Spade, and anything to do with my dogs or Llamas!
My goal is to make learning a fun and desirable for all my students. Interacting with them and getting them engaged in every aspect of the lessons I teach help teach them to have passion while learning. Encouraging them to ask questions and explore keep the curious which helps keep them engaged and wanting to learn more. I look forward to learning and exploring with all my students! #LlamaLoveForLearning
